The Town of Fountain Hills is best known for its iconic fountain, built 50 years ago by the developer and shooting water up as high as 560 feet – higher than the Washington Monument, the Eiffel Tower, and the Great Pyramid.

That central feature and park also is home to multiple events, like art festivals, cool car shows, and outdoor concerts. It has its own shopping area, and it’s a quick shot down to the wide array of restaurants, retail, and entertainment/events in Scottsdale.

Living in Fountain Hills is casual but beautiful, with low-key neighborhoods, vast open skies perfect for star-gazing, and a quiet, unhurried style of life.  It sits at the edge of the urban area between Scottsdale and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and it has a small-town feeling with both luxury and more moderately priced homes.

Fountain Hills is the Valley community closest to Saguaro Lake and the other large desert storage reservoirs, and to the fabulous desert scenery at McDowell Mountain Regional Park.  It’s also near the Fort McDowell Casino and contains six public golf courses.

The median sale price is fairly comparable to much of Scottsdale.
